European Angus has recorded another good year as the Society continues to go from strength to strength.
The Society’s beef scheme, which is carried out in association with supply chain partner, Hannan Meats of Moira, continues to gather momentum and in 2013 Fortnum & Mason and Harrods were added to the client list along with a number of Michelin-starred French restaurants.
The EACS has also been actively exploring exporting opportunities and Society secretary, Harry McGaffin is just back from a British Trade mission to Vietnam which included participation at a three day trade fair at the Ildex Exhibition Centre in Ho Chi Minh City .
More than 200 exhibitors participated at the International event which attracted more than 7,000 visitors over the three days.
“The trip to Vietnam was extremely interesting and we are now in the process of following up on various leads generated at the exhibition,” explained Society Secretary, Harry McGaffin. “It’s another exciting chapter in the history of the European Angus Cattle Society and we are hopeful that it will lead to further opportunities for our members.”
